Candles Diy Make Own

Making your own candles may be a way to cut cost for some. But for others, it is a creative way to make candles that are unique in design and smell.
Basic Candles
Start with a large block of paraffin which will cost you about $8 and it will provides enough wax for 10 large candles.
Use a Hammer to break the block into smaller pieces, which will make it easier to melt and handle.
Then melt the paraffin with stearic acid wax to hardens the paraffin in a double boiler and keep it at a temperature near, but not more than 200 degrees.
Adding pieces of paraffin to the wax mold before adding the melted wax will cause the candle's surface to glow when the candle is lit.
Pours the melted wax into the mold and adds your color to the mix.
Afterwards immerse the mold in cold water which speeds cooling.
After the candle has cooled, carefully removes the candles from the mold.
